Welcome to the New COOL!

Coast Guard COOL logo

Your Coast Guard COOL has evolved! Welcome to the redesigned, rebuilt and re-energized Coast Guard COOL. The COOL team has incorporated the results of years of analytics data, focus groups and user testing conducted with Service members, and the latest and greatest web technology to produce the latest generation COOL.

A lot has changed, and there are many new features, but one thing remains the same: COOL is focused for the Coast Guardsman. Let us know how we're doing, and what you think of the redesign: send us an email at CGCOOL@uscg.mil.

Following is an overview of the new features, but we highly recommend reviewing the How to Use COOL page as the quickest way to take advantage of the new COOL.

The new Main Menu is where you can find the Credentialing Steps, On the Radar, links to the information pages, and other important links. Think of it as COOL Information Central.

Specialized Information For...

You can now choose a "persona" to specialize the information displayed in the National Credentials table on Summary pages. Doing so applies filters to the table to help you focus on the credentials best suited to your situation. For a description of the personas and the filters applied for each, see the How to Use COOL page.

Card View and Compare

New for the Credential Table in the National Related Credentials tab on Summary pages, you now have the option of viewing credentials in a card view, as well as the ability to select up to six for a side-by-side comparison.
