The Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), LEED AP Building Design + Construction (LEED AP BD+C) credential is for professionals with expertise in the design and construction phases of green buildings, serving the commercial, residential, education and healthcare sectors. LEED AP BD+C candidates must be at least 18 years of age, hold a current LEED Green Associate credential, and pass a written exam. Prior LEED project experience is strongly recommended.

RECERTIFICATION

LEED AP Building Design + Construction (LEED AP BD+C)

Renewal Period: 2 years

The LEED AP Building Design + Construction (LEED AP BD+C) credential has the following recertification information:

  • The LEED AP BD+C credential is renewed every two years by earning 30 continuing education hours and paying a renewal fee. Additional information can be found in the Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) Guide.

Additional considerations for the LEED AP Building Design + Construction (LEED AP BD+C) include:

  • Prior LEED project experience is strongly recommended.
  • Practitioner experience is critical to earning the LEED AP BD+C credential and, as such, project proficiency will be tested objectively within the exam.

Credential voucher or reimbursement for credential exam, re-certification, or maintenance fee has been approved for payment through the Navy's Credential Program Office. CG Bucks

Current Coast Guard policy states all credentials listed on CG COOL may be reimbursed assuming the service member meets the eligibility requirements as outlined in the Coast Guard Voluntary Credentialing Program Policy (COMDTINST 1540.1(series))
