WOMOS Description

Plans and directs the activities of Army units and organizations engaged in materiel management and maintenance of missile rounds and their associated guidance, launching, handling, and test equipment); and conventional munitions and warheads and associated maintenance, test, and handling support equipment. Provides maintenance and calibration support for the Army's conventional munitions and warheads and associated maintenance, test and handling support equipment. CSPs conduct worksite assessments, determine risk, measure hazards and controls, evaluate risk and hazard control measures, investigate incidents, maintain incident and loss records, and prepare emergency response plans. CSP candidates must meet experiential requirements that relate to the field of workplace safety. Candidates must pass a written exam.

The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) certification demonstrates a professional's ability to handle, manage, or advise others on hazardous materials in a safe and compliant manner. A CHMM may work for a corporation, business, government, or in a related field associated with hazardous materials such as environmental protection, safety, hazmat transportation, or security.  Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and four years of relevant work experience.  Candidates must also pass a written exam.

The Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM), Certified Records Manager (CRM) credential provides a strong foundation of competencies and core skills for professionals responsible for the management of records. CRMs, who are skilled in general management, must demonstrate a understanding of all aspects of records management, including creation, storage and disposition, management, and control, using recordkeeping technologies. Candidates must pass a written exam. In addition, candidates must write two business case studies that demonstrate their ability to apply and convey their knowledge to upper management, clients, and other constituents.

Renewal Period: 3 years

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential credential sets the industry standard for practicing facility managers and validates a manager’s ability and skill in 11 competencies of the facility management body of knowledge. CFM work varies widely, depending on facility size, industry, purpose, location and whether the CFM manages one or multiple facilities. Candidates must meet a combination of education and experience requirements. Candidates must pass a written exam.

The United States Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is for individuals who drive certain Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs). There are three classes of CDLs with endorsements for specialized qualifications for vehicles like school buses, tank trucks, and tractor trailers. The U.S. Department of Transportation requires drivers to obtain and hold a CDL if they operate in interstate, intrastate, or foreign commerce and drive a vehicle that meets one or more of the classifications of a CMV described on the FMSCA website. FMSCA has developed and issued standards for state testing and licensing of CDL holders. These standards require state governments to issue CDLs to certain CMV drivers only after the driver passes knowledge and skills testing that is administered by the state and related to the type of vehicle the driver expects to operate.

The American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification is aimed towards professionals involved in career fields such as Production and Inventory Management, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Materials Management, and Purchasing. The CPIM certification does not have eligibility requirements at this time. Candidates must pass two exams (Part 1 and Part 2) within a three-year period to earn the CPIM certification.

The American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is for individuals who possess the knowledge to understand and manage the integration and coordination of end-to-end supply chain activities. The CSCP takes a broad view of operations, extending beyond internal operations to encompass the entire supply chain, from supplier, through the company, to the end consumer. CSCP candidates must meet an experience, degree or credential eligibility requirement and pass a written exam.

The Institute for Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM), Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner (CHMP) certification is a standard of proficiency for front-line hazardous materials workers. The CHMP is intended to enhance regulatory compliance, safety, and overall credibility of operations, and provide recognition to individuals who meet its rigorous requirements. Candidates must meet a combination of education and/or experience requirements and pass a written exam.

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification is for supply chain and procurement professionals with skills in areas such as finance, supplier relationship management, organizational global strategy, and risk compliance. Candidates must meet either academic or professional experience to be eligible for the CPSM certification exam. Candidates must take and pass three written exams.

The Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Technician is a mid-level certification that is appropriate for for engineers and technicians whose training and experience have primarily focused on problems, engineering design and corrective measures associated with minimizing or eliminating electrostatic discharge. Candidates must provide specific record of six years or more of experience in ESDC technician work. Graduation from an iNARTE-approved electronics technology curriculum of two years or U.S. Navy Class "A" school is considered equivalent to one year of required experience. The satisfactory completion of each year of such an approved technician curriculum is considered equivalent to one year experience. Candidates must submit a minimum of 1 supervisory reference and 2 additional references each supporting character and competency as an ESDC Technician, and must compose 10 original multiple choice questions with correct answers and supporting references. Candidates must also pass the iNARTE ESDC Technician examination.

ASP certifies an individual's ability to perform at least 50% of professional-level safety duties in safety, health, environment, and ergonomics. ASP candidates must meet a combination of education and experience requirements. Candidates must take a written exam.

The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM), Certified Dangerous Goods Professional (CDGP) is an advanced certification that recognizes expertise in dealing with the safe, secure, and compliant transportation of dangerous goods internationally under the model regulations published by the United Nations, International Maritime Organization, International Civil Aviation Organization, and International Air Transport Association. The CDGP is an unbiased verification that a company employs a global expert that can help the employer demonstrate to suppliers, customers, and enforcement agencies that they excel at regulatory compliance and safety. Applicants must have five years of relevant experience and pass a written exam.

Candidates must meet either an academic or experience requirement to be eligible for the SCPro Level One - Cornerstones of Supply Chain Management exam. Candidates must pass a written exam.
