The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) certification demonstrates a professional's ability to handle, manage, or advise others on hazardous materials in a safe and compliant manner. A CHMM may work for a corporation, business, government, or in a related field associated with hazardous materials such as environmental protection, safety, hazmat transportation, or security.  Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and four years of relevant work experience.  Candidates must also pass a written exam.

The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) is an entry-level certification. The CDT is a prerequisite to CSI's other certification offerings. The CDT allows candidates to demonstrate knowledge of the construction process, contractual relationships, and construction documents. To earn a CDT certification, candidates must have a high school diploma/GED and pass an exam.

The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) is an intermediate-level certification. The CCCA is for candidates who can demonstrate their knowledge in all facets of the construction process and contractual relationships, as well as construction contract administration. A CCCA is an individual who can complete tasks in the areas of quality control, bidding and negotiating, construction inspections, and enforcement and liability. To earn a CCCA certification, candidates must have experience in the field and be able to pass an exam.

The Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential recognizes professionals in the energy management field who have demonstrated high levels of experience, competence, proficiency, and ethical fitness in the energy management profession. Candidates must meet one of the specified education and or experience requirements to sit for the exam. All CEM candidates must attend a preparatory CEM training seminar, and complete and pass a four-hour written, open-book examination.

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential credential sets the industry standard for practicing facility managers and validates a manager’s ability and skill in 11 competencies of the facility management body of knowledge. CEPs are certified across the areas of environmental assessment, documentation, operations, planning, sustainability, research, and education. Candidates must meet a combination of experience and education requirements.

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE) is an intermediate-level credential for professional landscape architects. Landscape Architects plan and design land areas for projects such as parks and other recreational facilities, airports, highways, hospitals, schools, land subdivisions, and commercial, industrial, and residential sites. There are several sections to the exam that assess candidates' knowledge, skills, and abilities in the areas of protecting public health, safety, and welfare. Candidates for the LARE credential must meet educational and experiential requirements.

The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) certification is for engineers and designers of plumbing systems. The CPD is the only international credential program in the plumbing engineering field and sets the standards for leadership within the industry. Candidates must possess a minimum of four years of practical experience in a position of responsibility for the design of plumbing systems and possess a baccalaureate degree in a field related to engineering. In lieu of an accredited degree, candidates may substitute up to an additional four years of practical experience in the design of plumbing systems, for a total of eight years, or be granted a credit of one-half year of practical experience for each full year of education in an accredited curriculum related to plumbing engineering. Candidates must take a written exam.

The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) is an intermediate-level certification. The CCS allows candidates to demonstrate their knowledge of contractual relationships, document organization, and document preparation. A CCS is an individual who is able to administer a contract for construction according to CSI guidelines. The candidate would have an understanding of agreements, conditions of a contract, Division 01, as well as researching and sourcing products. The American Concrete Institute (ACI), Concrete Construction Special Inspector (CCSI) certification is for candidates who are qualified to inspect and record the results of concrete construction inspection based on codes and job specifications. The program covers inspection during preplacement, placement, and post-placement operations. Candidates must hold a current certification as an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I; obtain a passing grade on the written inspection examination; and obtain a passing grade on the written plans reading examination. Candidates must also meet education and experience requirements.

American Concrete Institute (ACI), Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I certification validates individuals ability to properly perform and record the results of seven basic field tests on freshly mixed concrete. ACI will grant certification only to those applicants who meet both the requirements of a passing grade on the ACI written examination; and successful completion of the ACI performance examination. The performance examination requires actual demonstration of six of the required ASTM test methods and practices. There are no degree or experience requirements.

The STS is often sought by safety professionals who are first-line supervisors and managers. STS applicants must have expertise in monitoring worksites for job hazards, helping to ensure regulatory compliance occurs, training employees in safety practices, performing safety-related record keeping, coordinating corrections for safety problems within or among work groups, and communicating with safety specialists or management. A Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector is an individual who has demonstrated proficiency in concrete inspection methods for transportation projects, including preplacement, placement, and post-placement operations. Candidates must obtain a passing grade on the written inspection examination and the written plans reading examination as well as fulfill the requirements for the ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician-Grade 1 certification. Candidates must also have a minimum of a high school diploma plus a minimum of three years of satisfactory work experience or two years of college or technical school plus two years of satisfactory work experience or five years of satisfactory work experience.

The Associate Engineering Technologist (AT) certification is intended for individuals who have graduated from an engineering technology bachelor's degree program accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (TAC/ABET). The Associate Engineering Technologist (AT) grade is available upon graduation, No work experience is required for certification at the AT grade.

The Board of Certification Safety Professionals (BCSP), Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technologist (OHST) candidate performs occupational health and safety activities on a part-time or full-time basis. OHSTs conduct worksite assessments to determine risks, potential hazards and controls, evaluate incident and loss records, and prepare emergency response plans. OHST candidates must work a minimum of three years in occupational hygiene or safety at least 35% of the time, have duties that require technical skills and knowledge in occupational hygiene and safety. The National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certification is for contracting professionals in both the public and private sectors who deal extensively with federal contracts and have a minimum of one year of experience. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, one year of experience, and 80 hours of continuing professional education to be eligible for the CFCM certification. Candidates lacking the degree requirement who have 10 years of verifiable contract management experience may apply for a degree waiver.  To earn the CFCM certification, a candidate must pay the applicable fees and pass an exam.

The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), PV Installation Professional certification is a mid-level credential that is applicable to a wide range of installation personnel including installers, project managers, installation foremen/supervisors, and designers.  A certified PV Installation Professional specifies, configures, adapts, installs, implements, inspects, and maintains photovoltaic systems, including grid-connected and stand-alone systems by incorporating quality craftsmanship and complying with all applicable standards, codes, and safety requirements. Candidates must meet a combination of education and experience requirements. Candidates must pass a written exam.

A National Inspection Testing and Certification Corporation (NITC) Medical Gas Installer certification candidate is a qualified individual who can demonstrate competence within their scope and will be proficient in and experienced in the installation of medical gas and vacuum systems covered by the ASSE Series 6000 Standard. Installers include anyone who works on or installs piping or components, including brazers. A qualified Medical Gas Installer may perform these tasks alone, or through the supervision of other individuals. In addition to knowledge of product installation, a Medical Gas Installer is required to have a general knowledge of the applicable laws, codes, rules, listing agencies, and regulations from the federal, state, and local levels pertaining to medical gas and vacuum systems as well as knowledge of product performance, system and system component testing, documenting and recording, and medical gas terminology. Candidates must have a minimum of four (4) years of documented practical experience in the field of installation of plumbing or mechanical systems and have completed a minimum 32-hour training course conducted by a Medical Gas Systems Instructor certified to ASSE Standard 6050. Candiddates must pass a multiple-choice examination covering ASSE Standard 6010 and applicable sections of NFPA 99 and (2) a proctored practical (brazing) examination.

Candidates must comply with local and jurisdictional codes to successfully complete the project in a timely manner. Candidates must pass a written exam.

The International Code Council (ICC), Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector - 64 certification is for professionals who determine whether all buildings and structures in a local jurisdiction are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use and meet minimum maintenance standards and conditions. Property Maintenance and Housing Inspectors apply these standards to basic utilities, heating facilities, equipment, light, ventilation, sanitation, and fire safety and are responsible for determining when buildings are unfit for human occupancy and use and for enforcing condemnation and demolition when needed. There are no prerequisite educational or experience requirements, but candidates must have technical knowledge and pass a written exam.
