MOS Description

Employs conventional and unconventional warfare tactics and techniques unilateral, combined, coalition, joint, interagency and multinational operations. The American Institute of Constructors (AIC), Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) credential is the highest level of certification in AIC's Constructor Certification Program and is recommended for individuals with established constructors who have several years of project oversight experience. Candidates must have several years of both qualifying and leadership experience in executing construction work to be eligible for the CPC certification. Candidates must pass a written exam.

The ASIS International, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification is for security management professionals who demonstrate knowledge and competency in all areas of security management. CPP candidates must have been employed full-time in a security-related role and meet education and/or experience requirements, which include at least three years of experience in responsible charge of a security function. Candidates must also pass a written exam.

The International Code Council (ICC), Building Plans Examiner – B3 certification is for candidates who review and examine building construction documents for conformity to building codes and regulations set by the jurisdiction within which the building stands. The Building Plans Examiner reviews plans for any size building in any occupancy classification and understands building planning, footings, foundations, floor construction, wall construction, coverings, roof, ceiling, and public safety construction as it applies to building code compliance. There are no prerequisite educational or experience requirements, but candidates should have technical knowledge in their chosen field of expertise. Candidates must pass a written exam.

The ASIS International, Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification is designed for individuals whose primary responsibilities are to conduct physical security surveys, design integrated security systems that include equipment, procedures, and people; or install, operate or maintain those systems and who have demonstrated in-depth operational knowledge and competence in this area. Candidates must meet academic and experience requirements. Candidates must pass a written exam.

The Associate Engineering Technologist (AT) certification is intended for individuals who have graduated from an engineering technology bachelor's degree program accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (TAC/ABET). The Associate Engineering Technologist (AT) grade is available upon graduation, No work experience is required for certification at the AT grade.

The American Institute of Constructors (AIC), Associate Constructor (AC) certification is the first-level certification in AIC's Constructor Certification Program and is recommended for recent graduates of four-year Construction Management programs or those transitioning into construction management from other industries. Candidates must meet the minimum education and/or experience requirements. The International Code Council (ICC), Commercial Building Inspector - B2 certification validates a professional’s basic technical knowledge and ability to assess buildings to determine the structural soundness and compliance with specifications, building codes, and other regulations set by the jurisdiction within which the building stands. Commercial Building Inspectors evaluate structures of any size or occupancy to determine compliance, read and approve plans, verify that the plans conform to code, and review construction documents. Candidates must understand the principles that apply to building planning, footings, foundations, floor construction, wall construction, coverings, roof and ceiling construction, and public safety construction. There are no prerequisite educational or experience requirements, but candidates should have technical knowledge and must pass a written exam.

The International Code Council (ICC), Residential Building Inspector - B1 is an intermediate-level certification designed for professionals who perform residential building inspections. Residential Building Inspectors are responsible for performing inspections of structures to determine compliance with various building codes and standards adopted by his/her jurisdiction. At this level of certification, the Inspector must be able to inspect one-and-two family dwellings, townhomes not more than three stories in height, and accessory structures.

The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), Rigger I certification validates a rigger’s skill and ability to handle and move loads. The Rigger Level I is qualified in a trade or craft and may hold a title as iron worker, millwright, mechanic, electrician, mason, laborer, longshoreman, boilermaker, lineman or pipe fitter. There are no prerequisites for this certification, but crane operators must be at least 18 years of age, and abide by NCCCO’s substance abuse policy and code of ethics. Candidates must pass a practical exam and a written exam.

The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), Signalperson certification is for candidates who use hand and voice signals in crane operation. The NCS4 Certified Sport Security Professional (CSSP) credential is a mid-level security certification. CSSPs are individuals at the middle and upper levels of organizations and who are in leadership roles responsible for the planning and overall security operations of sport venues and events have the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform their job. The CSSP certification focuses on advancing the sports safety and security industry by addressing the competency requirements of current security professionals and those related professionals in law enforcement, emergency management, government, public safety, human resources, and operations specialists, among others. Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of experience working in a comprehensive safety and security management position and a minimum of 50 contact hours directly relating to sports/special event safety and security management. A four-year degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience. Candidates must pass a written exam.
